A variation of the low armless chair designed by Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe for the German pavilion at the Barcelona International Exhibition in 1929, the Barcelona ottoman is now an icon. Edited since 1953 by Knoll, this model is inspired by the curule seat used in Roman times.
The characteristic original structure, formed by two legs intertwined in the center, is found. All in finesse, the shiny chrome-plated steel underframe adopts rounded shapes… curves that embrace the quilted leather seat, composed of 40 squares of material assembled by stitching with piping and buttons.
Elegant, the Barcelona ottoman will bring cachet to a VIP area or a lounge. In a CEO’s office, it will create a chic and refined atmosphere. For more comfort, consider pairing it with the Barcelona low armless chair.
