British designer Tom Dixon founded his own eponymous publishing house in 2002. His atypical journey – first as a guitarist in a punk band before learning welding and dedicating himself to the design of recycled metal furniture – makes him today a major figure in international design. Recognized worldwide for the exceptional quality of his furniture, Tom Dixon has been able to transform his experimental approach and his lack of academic training into a true creative signature, immediately identifiable.

The house Tom Dixon offers a wide range of furniture including chairs, tables, lighting and decorative accessories. If the designer is personally involved in many projects, he also collaborates with other design talents to give life to singular creations. Among the emblematic pieces of the collection is the Wingback armchair, designed by Dainese Tiziano in 2008, which elegantly reinterprets the traditional codes of the wing armchair and ball backrest from the 17th century. The
collection of Beat Light lamps, created by Tom Dixon himself, also illustrates this exceptional know-how: these handcrafted suspensions are available in three models –
Beat Light Fat,
Beat Light Tall and
Beat Light Wide.
The many distinctions received by Tom Dixon are a testament to his excellence and expertise. In 2001, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by the Queen of England for his contribution to British design. He was then crowned «Designer of the Year» in 2006 and again in 2014. Other awards include a silver medal for the best garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, as well as the prestigious 'London Design Medal' awarded at the British Land Celebration of Design Awards in 2019.
