Gravêne Chair Metal Sky-Blue

With an innovative approach to design, the Gravêne chair transforms industrial constraints into a distinctive aesthetic signature. Crafted from plastic production waste, its seat, made from recycled polyethylene, is the result of a unique manufacturing process. The material, melted down and then moulded, offers a dual character: a smooth, comfortable inner surface, designed for practical use, and a rougher outer surface, marked by the vagaries of the manufacturing process. The colours, achieved through random blends of recycled materials, vary from one piece to another, making each chair unique.

The Gravêne chair is available with different bases, each making the most of existing resources. A version in French oak reuses offcuts of two-hundred-year-old wood from barrel-making, whilst a steel base, crafted from leftover industrial tubing, is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use thanks to its powder-coated finish. Combining socially conscious design with contemporary aesthetics, the Gravêne naturally fits into event, scenographic or commercial settings.
