Born in 1946 in Innsbruck, Austria, to French parents, Marc Sadler studied at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Paris, where he specialised in plastic materials and their industrial applications.
From the very beginning of his career, he stood out for his passion for experimentation. In the 1970s, he developed an innovative ski boot made from thermoplastic material, paving the way for an international career. Furniture, sports equipment, everyday objects and lighting: Marc Sadler explores a wide range of fields with one guiding philosophy – bringing technical innovation and creativity together.
His approach has earned him four Compasso d'Oro awards, among the most prestigious honours in Italian design. His collaborations with brands such as Foscarini and Serralunga have given rise to lighting designs that have become true icons.
