JACQUES DENEEF: SOFT LINES AND CHARACTER

JACQUES DENEEF: THE ART OF GIVING MATERIALS A NEW LEASE OF LIFE

For Jacques Deneef, design is all about materials, forms and creative freedom. As much an artist as a designer, he enjoys exploring the possibilities offered by objects to devise creations that are both functional and unique. Based in Antwerp, Belgium, Jacques Deneef studied advertising at the École Saint-Luc in Brussels before working in the creative sector. Between 1996 and 2003, he collaborated notably with the leather goods house Delvaux.

In 2003, he became a freelance designer and has since developed projects across a variety of fields: furniture, interior design, textiles, lighting and accessories. His inspiration? Raw materials, antique objects and architectural forms. Fascinated by wood, glass, leather and even paper, he enjoys transforming materials and giving them a new lease of life.

This sensibility is evident in his collaboration with Ethnicraft, a Belgian furniture manufacturer renowned for its contemporary furniture with timeless lines. Among his creations, the N701 collection perfectly illustrates his approach: generous seating, inviting lines and a modular design that allows for a wide range of configurations. At Maison Vachon, his creations enable the creation of warm, comfortable event spaces full of character.

With Jacques Deneef, design isn’t just about looking good. It invites you to settle in.

SOFA N701: COMFORT ON A GRAND SCALE

With the N701 Sofa, produced by Ethnicraft, Jacques Deneef has designed a generously proportioned seat that puts comfort first. Its low backrest, rounded contours and tufted upholstery give it an instantly recognisable silhouette, striking a balance between contemporary elegance and a relaxed vibe.

But the collection’s true strength lies in its modularity.

At Maison Vachon, the N701 sofas are available in two- and three-seater versions, in a range of fabric and leather finishes. These models can be combined with other pieces from the collection to create lounge areas tailored to the layout of any event. Whether in a showroom, a trade fair or a VIP area, they allow you to create welcoming and comfortable layouts whilst maintaining a contemporary aesthetic.

A sofa that thinks big. And, above all, one that knows how to adapt.

N701 ARMCHAIR: MODULARITY WITH CHARACTER

With the N701 Armchair, Jacques Deneef takes the principle of modularity a step further. This single-seater features the generous lines and characteristic comfort of the collection, in a format that makes it easy to mix and match.

At Maison Vachon, which the range notably includesa Rounded-Corner N701 Armchair is particularly well-suited to creating original lounge arrangements. When combined with the N701 sofas and other modules, it allows you to design more open spaces, organise circulation routes or create conversation areas. Its soft silhouette helps to make interiors welcoming, even in highly contemporary settings.

An armchair that rounds off the corners – both literally and figuratively.

JACK ARMCHAIR: WOOD TAKES ON A NEW DIMENSION

With the Jack Armchair, produced by Ethnicraft, Jacques Deneef explores a more natural aesthetic, in which wood takes centre stage. Its sleek wooden frame, combined with a comfortable seat, gives it a warm and contemporary look. The armchair strikes a balance between the presence of the material and the lightness of its silhouette.

At Maison Vachon, the Jack Armchair brings a touch of nature to lounge areas, showrooms and reception spaces. It pairs particularly well with wooden coffee tables, light-coloured textiles and decorative pieces crafted from raw materials.

An armchair with character. And one that knows how to stay true to its natural roots.

BARROW FOOTSTOOL: SMALL IN SIZE, BIG ON COMFORT

With the Barrow Pouffe, Jacques Deneef reinterprets the spirit of vintage seating in a contemporary style. Produced by Ethnicraft, it stands out for its rounded shape, generous fabric upholstery and understated base. Inspired by the aesthetics of the 1950s, it adds a warm, retro touch to any interior.

At Maison Vachon, the Barrow Pouffe in Ecru is the ideal occasional seat to complement a lounge area or create a more relaxed setting. Its compact size means it can be easily incorporated into various interior schemes without visually overwhelming the space.

A small pouffe that packs a punch. Especially when it comes to comfort.

WHY CHOOSE JACQUES DENEEF’S DESIGNS FOR AN EVENT?

Jacques Deneef’s furniture offers a particularly appealing advantage for events: its ability to combine comfort, style and modularity. The N701 Sofas allow you to organise large lounge areas, whilst the N701 Armchairs offer greater freedom in arranging layouts. The Jack Armchair adds a natural and cosy touch, whilst the Barrow Pouffe completes the setting with a retro feel.

These designs are ideal for a wide range of settings: trade fairs, corporate events, showrooms, receptions and VIP areas. Renting Jacques Deneef furniture therefore enables you to create welcoming and functional spaces where guests can socialise, relax and enjoy the event to the full.

Because a beautiful space is also one where people want to stay.
