Made in Italy

It was in 1976, in the village of Motta di Livenza in northern Italy, that Eugenio Parazza founded the family business Magis. Its name, taken from the Latin and meaning "More", embodies the philosophy of the house: a permanent exploration of new production techniques and an uncompromising creative audacity. True to this key word «Oser», Magis collaborates with leading international talents such as Jasper Morrison, Konstantin Grcic, Philippe Starck or even Jerszy Seymour. The publisher now offers a complete range of indoor, outdoor and office furniture, as well as a collection dedicated to children launched in 2010.

A DESIGN LABORATORY

Magis has marked the world of contemporary furniture with iconic and timeless creations. The Proust armchair, re-designed in 2011 by Alessandro Mendini in a polyethylene version for outdoor use, perfectly illustrates this ability to reinvent the classics. The Folly sofa and the Raviolo armchair by Ron Arad reflect the unique visual identity of the brand, while the Steelwood chair by brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec earned the publisher its second Compasso d'Oro thanks to its sleek design and innovative combination of materials.

In 2008, Magis reached a new technological milestone with the One chair by Konstantin Grcic, the first chair designed by die-casting aluminum. Available for rent in chair or stool format, the Maison Vachon also offers a customizable version, with a custom-made shade for your events.

MULTIPLE RECOGNITIONS

Today, the Magis collections are exhibited in 35 museums around the world. The publisher has a total of around one hundred prestigious distinctions, including five Compasso d'Oro awards. Firmly focused on the future, Magis is also developing an eco-responsible approach by favouring materials and manufacturing processes that respect the environment.
