Steelwood Chair

Here is a chair that lives up to its name! The Steelwood model evokes above all the 2 materials that compose it: steel and wood. An original association, created by the two French brothers Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec. Through this seat, the designers play with materials in a deliberately visible and very successful assembly. The legs in solid beech wood subtly fit the steel sheet structure, in a very contemporary rendering. Thanks to its quality materials and a technical manufacturing process, the Steelwood chair ensures an exceptional lifespan: a plus in eco-design! In 2008, it was awarded the «Interior Innovation Award» in Cologne.
Mainly associated with white or wood furniture, it can be found in warm Scandinavian-style furnishings. The Steelwood model also comes in stool format, to accompany a bar or counter with style.
