A BIRTH IN ITALY

The company was founded in 1952 by Agostino Moroso and his wife Diana Moroso. Both had the idea of designing sofas, armchairs and other small furniture, combining decorative art and design to create a prestigious brand. Contemporary art and originality became the watchwords of the brand.

Fortunately, Moroso's genius didn't stop with its creators, but continued with their children. On the one hand, Roberto, who took over the reins, and on the other, Patricia, who became the company's artistic director. With her passion for travel and adventure, Patricia will draw on her own experience to create innovative, offbeat projects. The new duo helped the company create its own identity, now recognizable to all.

A UNIQUE INFLUENCE

The curiosity and sensitivity shown by the publisher over the years will help them grow and give them access to exceptional locations to stage their masterpieces. Moroso has collaborated on the decoration of public spaces such as the ENSAM library in Montpellier, and the Moorfields Eye Hospital in Dubai. Only 70 years after its creation, Moroso has established itself as a leader in the upholstered furniture sector.

OUTSTANDING COLLABORATIONS

The publisher has struck a blow with one of its most important collaborations: its work with Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola. This association has given rise to a number of flagship models, such as the Lowland sofas and Lowseat armchairs, whose atypical, uncluttered design has won over the decorating world. Moroso also recognizes the talent of other innovative designers such as Ron Arad and his Albert sofa, Ross Lovegrove and his Supernatural chair, and Tord Boontje and his O Nest armchair.

RESPONSIBLE FOR ITS ENVIRONMENT

Moroso was also the first Italian furniture company to be awarded ISO 9001 certification in 1994. This distinction highlights the company's efforts in terms of production cycle quality. ISO 14001 certification followed in 1999, highlighting the company's environmental management system. These two certifications prove that Moroso maintains a close link between quality and environmental impact. This commitment drives the company to implement ever cleaner, less polluting manufacturing processes, using natural or recyclable materials. It is this qualitative and ecological vision of furniture that has enabled them to distinguish themselves on the market with quality products.
